• 1962

The story of COSMO starts in 1962, when a young and intrepid Franco Meucci decides to open, in a small basement in Montopoli in Val d’Arno, a small, artisan, footwear laboratory. The area is rich of raw materials of the finest quality and thanks also to the economic boom, the small family business consolidates and starts to grow.

 • 1965

The first orders from important companies and from American clients start to arrive. More workforce is needed and very quickly COSMO went from 4 people to over 10 employees.

 • 1968

The growth of what once was a small company quickly leads to the opening of a new factory. 800 meters available and a new area fully committed to Style.

 • 1980

Meanwhile the second generation of Meucci joins the company: Stefano, the son. With him the artisan philosophy is reinforced, together with the territory. The company becomes more and more international and starts taking part in business fairs, acquiring new clients.

 • 1990

An eye on the future. The 90s are characterised by the attention on raw materials, quality control, training and purchasing of innovative machinery, to ensure a product 100% unique and Italian.

 • 2016

The third generation joins in: Matteo and Lorenzo Meucci, sons of Stefano, who, thanks to their dedication and studies, will lead the footwear factory COSMO to new horizons.
